IT'S THE LAW!

The LAW say's it's compulsory for ALL homes & rental properties to have smoke alarms installed and to achieve this we recommend that a scheduled maintenance program is in place.

The Fire & Rescue Service Amendment Act of 2006 was legislated on July 1st 2007

  • Between any area containing bedrooms and the rest of the house or unit e.g. hallways

  • On a storey not containing bedrooms on the most likely evacuation route from the storey
